A wellness professional, proud Brampton resident, and community-first candidate committed to accountability, inclusion, and meaningful change for every family in Ward 1 & 5.
Amit Dutta is a wellness professional and proud resident of Brampton who is committed to serving the community through practical leadership, accountability, and meaningful public engagement.
With years of experience working directly with people in the wellness field, Amit understands the importance of listening carefully, communicating clearly, and making responsible decisions that reflect the needs of everyday residents. His people-first approach is built on compassion, transparency, and a genuine commitment to community well-being.
Fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, Amit believes strong communication helps bridge cultures, strengthen relationships, and create a more connected and inclusive Brampton. In a ward as diverse and vibrant as Ward 1 & 5, that kind of connection matters deeply.
Amit’s path to running for Brampton City Council grew directly from conversations with neighbours — residents frustrated by feeling unheard, overlooked, and underserved by City Hall. He decided to stop waiting for change and start being the change.
“My commitment is simple — to listen before deciding, to act with integrity, and to always put Brampton families first. Not politics. Not promises. Real action.”— Amit Dutta

Brampton is beautifully diverse. Amit’s leadership brings communities together rather than dividing them — in every language, every culture.
